I see "Sorry! I can't hear you". What do I do?

Dictanote shows this message when the microphone does not send speech:

The message: Sorry! I can't hear you

Procedure

Make sure that your microphone is connected and on.
Make sure that the microphone is not muted. Some headsets have a mute switch.
Make sure that the browser uses the correct microphone. In the address bar, click the View site information icon, then click Site settings. Do a check of the microphone that is selected.
Make sure that the operating system uses the correct microphone and that the input level is not 0.
Speak clearly and near the microphone. Then click Dictate again.

macOS: Open System Settings > Sound > Input. Select your microphone. Speak and look at the input level.
Windows: Open Settings > System > Sound > Input. Select your microphone. Speak and look at the input level.
